Julie Plec quoted in Entertainment Weekly, Jan 14th:
“I didn’t feel comfortable letting her [Elena] let go of what is pure in her heart, which is Stefan, to explore the darker sides of her impulses.” - (x)
Definition of the word explore: to learn about (something) by trying it (x)
Julie Plec’s response to a fan’s question on twitter, May 2013:
Your questions make me think you want her to be with Stefan. I get it, believe me. But we’re not in that part of her journey. (x)
Definition of the word journey: something suggesting travel or passage from one place to another <the journey from youth to maturity> (x)
What it basically means: Elena must be with Damon as a period of growth, trial/error and experience in order to come back to the person she is at her very core and who she (
is better with) wants to be with as that changed and experienced person.
What it absolutely does not mean: Delena is ‘endgame’.
imagine your OTP kissing in the rain.
Stelena & Makes Me Cry
"It’s you and me Stefan, always.”
"the sire bond is your only argument"
"Damon killing jeremy is your only argument"
THOSE ARE THE ONLY ARGUMENTS WE NEED.
Let me tell you something. Elena hasn’t been ‘Elena’ since she turned and her last action as a human was choosing to be with Stefan because it was the best choice she ever made, and her first action as a vampire was also saying that she wanted to be with Stefan forever. then the sire bond was picking up it’s speed. The real Elena always wanted to be with Stefan. You are kidding yourself if you think that Elena has ever truly truly wanted to be with Damon. it’s hard to trust her feelings toward him when the relationship started off of a complete loss of free will and choice.
Stefan and Elena’s “hi" and ‘hey" scene.
You don’t know what it’s like being in love with you. You know, when you and I were together, every single atom in my body told me that it was the right thing. That we were the perfect fit. And that kind of love, it can change your whole life. And then when somebody who made you feel that way suddenly stops, the vacuum is just…
Can they stop paralleling Stelena and Delena scenes because it’s pathetic. Comparing a diamond to a rock. I feel second hand embarrassment.
